The Galleon isn't actually a ship that made a lot of historical appearances in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, but it makes very regular appearances in Pirate pop culture. The Black Pearl is kind of a galleon, ghost ships are often galleons, one of the three ships you can pilot in Sea of Thieves is a galleon… you get the idea. There is even a galleon suspended on top of the castle in The Curse of Skeleton Point, the adventure included in Pirate Borg. So you know I had to map it eventually!

I knew this ship would get a lot of action in campaigns, especially Dark Caribbean ones, so you’ll find 17 variations including 2 ghost ships, all five of the major factions, and a derelict ship. The Skeleton Point galleon is also included, run-through by a castle tower.

I’ve included both black & white and “low ink” versions, as some of you on the Discord server have been discussing using the low cost blueprint printers at places like FedEx office to print these out for use at the table. The low ink version is actually a little easier to play on as you can tell the walls from the floor a bit easier. I’ve also included a 10-page PDF for these low ink versions if you are printing all the Skeleton Point maps on your home or office printer.

I've also made 12 PNG assets to customize your maps, and 20 tiles/tokens of the ship variations for naval combat.

Variations for the Galleon map (58x38, gridded & non) include:

  • Galleon - Original
  • Galleon - Night
  • Galleon - Derelict
  • Galleon - English
  • Galleon - French
